- Reduce the need for restraint through better behavior de-escalation

What is physical intervention?
Physical intervention refers to the use of safe, planned physical techniques to guide, hold, or disengage from an individual when there is a risk of harm to themselves or others. In our training, the emphasis is always on prevention and de-escalation first, with physical intervention only used as a last resort in line with legal and ethical guidelines.
When is it appropriate?
